THE STORY AND DESIGN GOALS

‘More than Numbers’ is a social media campaign initiated by two Lettering Artists,  @florifama from Argentina and @aftrisletter from Indonesia, in hopes of encouraging the artist community. The main objective of this campaign is to focus on the longer-lasting rewards that Instagram can offer rather than solely focusing on the engagement numbers, such as likes, comments, and followers, which can more often than not can be discouraging for creators.

‘More than Numbers’ really means we should be focusing on the good, the stuff that really matters such as, finding like-minded creatives from all over the world, community support, unlimited resources and more.

As such, my design goal was to really accentuate the fact that we, as a community, is in fact more than numbers by literally breaking the notification bar.

Here’s how the social media campaign can be translated to a billboard where the words can be spread outside the social media for public awareness.
