The Poke Story is a restaurant franchise under way where we will be developing a premium environment that offers not only convenience of good quality, fast, and tasty food but also a haven where human beings will be able to enjoy the delicacies of healthier alternative diced fish bowls/salads and fusion desserts and teas that will bring joy to life.
To create a visual identity where the design communicates 'the story' - the client offers poke bowl where the customer selects their choices in terms of chapters (e.g. Chapter 1 - base selection, Chapter 2 - protein selection, etc.). The goal is to create a simple and memorable logo while 'the story' being the focal point.
The logo proposal focuses on 'the story' element by introducing a book + chat box. However, the book + chat box is also an iconic fish, which is not only playful but memorable that suits perfectly to the story the client wants to tell about their brand. The creative design solution also directly represents the restaurant's creative style on how they serve food (e.g. selecting food choices by chapters). As the restaurant environment is modern and trendy, paired the icon with more modern fonts but by purposely selecting 3 different types of font for each word, it added a personality to the design. Finally, selected aqua tone for ocean-y and fresh look.
